Identity Theft:
We are living in the day and age of identity theft. It's
rampant! Most people don't even realize it's happened to them until it's too
late.
So how do you protect yourself from identity theft? Plain
and simple, you've got to do your due diligence. Here are some pointers:
1. Check your bank accounts at least every 2 days,
checking and savings! Watch for sudden and unknown depletion of funds.
2. Monitor you credit card accounts. Don't wait for that
once a month statement! It's now easy to check these accounts online. Check
these at least once a week.
3. Keep a close watch on your credit report. Watch for a
change of address, unknown charge accounts and abnormal credit inquiries. |
